Walker SCM appoints new Vice President of Finance, Mark Atzbi
Walker SCM is pleased to announce the promotion of Mark Atzbi who has been appointed Vice President of Finance. Prior to Mr. Atzbi’s appointment, he was Director of Finance for Walker SCM and its subsidiaries. In 2011, Mr. Atzbi joined Walker as Director of Finance. His background includes well over 25 years of experience in the Logistics industry. Emmett Walker, CEO/President , Walker SCM, noted,“ Mark has been a major pillar in the company and has solidified the company’s financial infrastructure to ensure its capacity to manage its expanding portfolio of industries as well as product and services.” Mr. Atzbi tenure in the financial industry has been exemplary, formerly he was Vice President of Finance at Votainer, a Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier owned by the Van Ommeren Group, Vice President and Controller for North America at AEI, District Controller for Waste Management and, CFO for IJS Global.
In Mr. Atzbi’s new role he will be responsible for the development of Walker SCM’s financial management strategy and contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic goals. He will primarily be focused on enhancing and implementing policies and procedures both in the finance and general operational areas. Mr. Atzbi, stated, “ I am excited to continue being on team that consistently wins.
